NARS seemed to be having the time of their life with continuous growth. They will open their first flagship boutique in Manhattan's West Village in Spring 2011, imagine a dedicated store full of NARS goody, I'm sure every FDers is dreaming of the moment that they can step into that store. It seemed that every other day, there's always someone that is interested in one of the NARS' blush and made their way into the NARS thread.

Another good news is that NARS has just launched their store in South Korea. One of the most asked question at the thread is as to where our members can get their hands on NARS products? Sadly Indonesia do not have any store that carries NARS products, previously they have a store in Singapore but it was closed down so the only way to get your hand on NARS is by flying to Bangkok. But perhaps next holiday, you want to visit South Korea and include visiting the NARS store as one of the item in your itinerary?

Galleria West Department Store in Seoul's Apgujeong district is the address for NARS in South Korea. The counter was set at 400 square-foot space with black and white hand brushed walls which set against pure white stone flooring that depicts NARS' black sleek rubber case pretty well.

Although South Korea was not their first stop in Asia, to date they already have 41 doors selling NARS products in this region which started in Hong Kong back in 2002. There's a talk at NARS to increase number of doors in 2011, which of course we will loudly wish that one of them is somewhere in this city. Louis Desazars, Chief Executive Officer of NARS said that Asia is one of NARS Cosmetics' fastest-growing markets - as evidently shown on our Market Plaza.

I think it's been a long time since I go to any salon to do my makeup for wedding receptions, I usually just do it myself. When you learn the basic and have gained the confidence of experimenting with different looks, I think it's better to trust yourself than other people who might not be familiar with your features. You're the only person who knows best what works and doesn't work on your face, right?

To recreate the look, you can use

• Your favorite primer, foundation and concealer
• Apply copper eyeshadow on your lids to the crease. Try MAC Coppering eyeshadow
• Put dark brown eyeshadow on the crease, such as Bobbi Brown Chocolate
• Fill your eyebrows with your favorite brow pencil and put shimmery eyeshadow as below your brow bones. You can use Stila Kitten All Over Shimmer Powder, which is technically not an eyeshadow but works well for this purpose.
• Use dark brown eyeliner, my favorite is Urban Decay 24/7 in Bourbon  (it's got tiny, gorgeous gold flecks)
• Dust some peach blush on the apples of your cheeks and blend well. Deszell's recommendation is Nars Gina blush
• Tone down the look by swiping a beige gloss such as Sariayu Alun Serunai Liquid Lip Color.

For hair, I think with this makeup, the kind of softly blow-dried hair that Vanessa Hudgens is sporting in this picture is the perfect match.

It includes the patented Oxygen Wow Hydrating Complex that will be able to boost cellular respiration to deliver plumping effect. It also contains Vitamin C and E derivatives in the antioxidant properties. Available in 9 shades and the finish is a buildable with light to medium coverage. Available online beginning 15 February and in store on 1 March. So save up your money ladies!

3. Nars Pure Radiance Tinted Moisturizer $42

We love tinted moisturizers for those days that we don't want to look to0 'made up' yet we still need the healthy and glowing effect of a foundation. Enter tinted moisturizer where it saves the day by giving us that dewy complexion and still manages to even out our tone. It feels light and refreshing as well. So, safe to say, that tinted moisturizer will always have a special place in our hearts. NARS one in particular said to be a complexion perfector - we're loving the name whatever effect it may give us - with anti-aging and skin brightening properties. On top of it, this tinted moisturizer will include SPF30 PA+++ broad spectrum protection. There are going to be 9 shades available, which I'm most certain I will find one shade that will fit mine :)

But the thing is, I never quite master the application of Benetint, since it also won't come off my fingers (my choice of tool when applying Benetint). Don't you just love a multi-purpose product?

10. MAC Russian Red Lipstick

This product is almost synonymous with 'Red Lipstick'. Whenever I want to suggest a red lipstick, I always begin with MAC Russian Red. Its blue undertone makes it possible for anyone to rock it. Suits perfectly fine with light, medium or deep tone.

Psstt...  In this article I want to share affordable alternatives of beauty products for you, ladies.  Because I think not all of us have the same intention in buying pricey beauty products.  Of course you have to read reviews out there first before buying it, just to make sure it's worth the money, but I can bravely say these products mentioned below are worth to try. I don't have a grudge over the products that more expensive. Nooo.  This is just me in the economical mode trying to save some of my money, and... yours. :D

Some of these products we can easily find in department stores or drugstore, and some of them (okay, most of them) need a little effort to be found. Finding online stores that have them in stock is not a hard job to do, though.  Ask Mr. Google or you can join the pre-order in certain lapak in MarketPlaza. :)

Since these are alternatives, they won't be 100% the same, but we still can find the similarities, from the packaging, pigment, finish result, color, to the quality.

Now let's take a look one by one :

MAC Paint Pot's color leans more to brown earth tone with some variations of colours that tend to be muted, whereas Maybelline Color Tattoo has bright colors like teal, green, and purple.  Maybelline Color Tattoo is famous for its quality and known as MAC Paint Pot's rival.  I know, I know, they're not available in Indonesia, yet.  *huhuhu*  I seriously can't wait for this permanent collection to arrive in Indonesia.

4.  Urban Decay Glide-On Eye Pencil ($19) Vs Holika Holika Jewel Light Waterproof Eyeliner (IDR 69,000)

5. Nars Blush-Bronzer Duo ($45) Vs Elf Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder ($3)

From the packaging and the blush-bronzer concept, you may instantly notice E.L.F.'s trying to make dupe of Nars Blush-Bronzer Duo.  NARS offers 5 combinations of colors whereas E.L.F. only offers 3. The colors are not exactly the same but what E.L.F. offers is really cheap and the quality is also great! At $45 vs $3, I guess everyone will say why not to the $3.

6. Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Intense Eyeshadows $32 Vs  L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadow (around $7.99)

Have you ever tried pressed eyeshadow?  Giorgio Armani and L'oreal basically come from the same company, so I guess we don't have to worry about the quality of  these.  I must agree Giorgio Armani has the better quality but L'oreal Infallible is also a great option if you're on a tight(er) budget.

I rarely write about beauty products here or do a face of the day. One of the reasons is because I find it difficult to take the perfect picture. It needs the combination of the right pose/angle, the right light and exposure to get the color as close to reality as possible. And when I  thought I've done it right, somehow when I look at the pictures on my laptop, I could see some flaws that made me think twice to post in on the web.

What happened a few days ago was an anomali. I was wearing my recent favorite lipstick and suddenly felt like taking a lip of the day picture!. Maybe that's what a bright and bold lipstick can do to you. The results didn't turn out as good as those taken by the beauty bloggers, well what can I expect, they have been doing it everyday, but at least the lip color is pretty close to reality. Yay!  So of I uploaded the pictures to Fashionese Daily.

The lipstick is NARS Heat Wave. I LOVE the vibrant red color that comes with a tint of coral. I also LOVE  its semi-matte texture that feels so creamy and glides on smoothly. And since it's semi-matte, it stays on the lips. The best part? It's not drying. Now when I don't feel like having a full make up on, I could just swipe it on my lips. It lifts up my mood and brigthen up my face instantly.

For those of you long timers who roam in the makeup threads, you would know that mikimoto is the queen of blush. Even Lena concurs. In this post, mikimoto will share her bits and pieces about her obsession. Even I can't wait for this.

Could you tell us when and how did this obsession started?

About 3-4 years ago, right around the time I joined FD. I have always had a love for make-up (and all things pretty).

What is it with blush?

First of all, blush is the one make-up item I actually use on a daily basis beside eyebrow pencil. Second, blushes come in so many different colors, textures, and finishes. The variety is endless. A good blush instantly enlivens your complexion. The best thing about blush is I’ve never seen a woman that doesn’t look good with it. :D

Is there anything particular that you seek when buying a new blush?

Unique color, attractive design, and sometimes beautiful packaging. Beautiful doesn’t have to be elaborate; take Burberry for example. They’re pretty simple, yet very chic. I call it an understated elegance.

What makes a good quality blush?

It has to be smooth, blends perfectly into the skin instead of sitting on it (I hate patchy blushes!), stays on for a reasonably good amount of time (5-6 hours at least). I know many people opt for a pigmented blush, but less pigmented blush is good too as long as it has the qualities I mentioned above. Heavy-handed girls can benefit from less pigmented blushes. Another important thing is the blush should not oxidize, but it really depends on your skin and/or other products that you put on with it.

Spill, how many blush do you have now?  How do you store them?

I recently gave away over 20 blushes and got rid of a few cream blushes that dried up, so I’d say a little below 200? I have backups for some blushes I really like. Yes, I’m a little crazy like that. I store them in a chest.

What’s your favorite blush(es)?

I really like Le Métier de Beauté Blush Kaleidoscope. I get several colors and finishes out of one compact. I don’t have a backup for this one (yet). I like Chanel and MAC blushes a lot.

With the amount of blush that you have, how in the world do you choose which one to wear everyday?

I usually take out a few blushes from different color groups and put them in my daily makeup tray (along with lipsticks and eye shadows). But, by the end of the week I almost always end up with more items in the tray. And they get disorganized. :D

So there you go. These are, I believe, only a fraction of mikimoto's collection. I think I'm going to go straight to blush heaven if I see her whole collection. Blush is one of the easiest makeup items to be collected. The statement is true for me. There's always a room for another say, coral blush, don't you think? FYI, I don't own that many, just because I'm picky like that. But blush is something that I always have my eye on when browsing for makeup. And I still have that desire to collect all Burberry blushes.

As a beauty junkie, when I was offered the chance to talk to the lead makeup artist for the Colette Dinnigan show at the Audi Fashion Festival as part of Asia Fashion Exchange held in Singapore last week, I could not utter any other word other than "YES!". You know why I was so excited? Because the official makeup sponsor for the runway shows was NARS. The much beloved brand of this community.

Colette Dinnigan runway show makeup look is something that could be applicable for an everyday makeup. It's clean and simple - all about the sheen and natural beauty with an emphasize on the skin. A really glowing one, which looks effortless, yet very hard to achieve. Julyen Loo, the creative hands behind the look showed me how he achieved the look. Skin that looks well hydrated is the key. That's why he applied lots and lots of NARSskin Aqua Gel Luminous Oil-Free Moisturizer onto the models' skin to prep it. Afterward was the choice of the primer - NARS Radiance Enhancing Light Optimizing Primer, which gives a weightless and oil-free finish but gives a very radiant-sheen to the skin.

Now the real secret for that beautifully glowing looking skin is by applying NARS Multiple in Copacobana along the cheekbones, nose bridge and a little bit on the forehead. Tap lightly until it's blended well to create a lit from within glow. Apply this after the primer and before the foundation.

What about the eyes? Start with prepping the canvas - your eyelids - with eye primer or cream eyeshadow. My memory really failed me here as to which product Julyen used, sorry girls. But the soft crease effect was done by using NARS Eyeshadow in Bali to define it lightly, real light handedly. The same product was also used to fill in the eyebrow, which is perfect because it has a matte finish. The NARS Eyeliner Stylo was used because of the sharp felt tip that allows that perfect line and finished off with a volumising mascara such as NARS Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara.

Now, what about blush? NARS is famous for them! But apparently to define the face, NARS Blush in Zen was chosen to create a contouring effect on the cheeks and you can add a bit of NARS Multiple in Copacobana. It looks subtle, yet perfect!

The lips were then coloured in with NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Belle Du Jour, the ultimate nude lipstick. NARS Lip Crayon is a personal favourite of mine, so this colour will definitely go onto my wish list after seeing how versatile this crayon is for an everyday look.

Now those are the four key products to use for an everyday look. Easy, right?

Most of you probably already know that Urban Decay is currently preparing for the launch of Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette.  Seriously?  Another Naked palette? I can hear my wallet screaming right now.  Urban Decay even conducted a race for its loyal fans, with the prize being #ThePerfect3Some: Urban Decay Naked, Urban Decay Naked 2, and the upcoming Urban Decay Naked 3.   I don't know for sure when it will be available in the market, but I guess this palette will soon join its siblings.  Urban Decay also made a smart move by asking people to sign up on the website to get a notice when it launches.

But for now, let's take a close look to this palette: the packaging isn't very appealing to me.  I'm not fond of the color and wavy surface on the tin.  I prefer clean surfaces (like what we saw on its predecessors) and contrasting colors. For all it's shortcomings, the color palette of the packaging portray the shades it carries inside pretty well.

Where Naked has warm tones and Naked 2 speaks for cool tones, Naked 3 gravitates to pinks and browns.  Naked 3 carries 12 new shades, and from the picture below I can see that they are wearable shades for any occasion, from a light eye look to a very smokey eye look.  Like Naked 2, Naked 3 comes with three matte shades; while I love most of the colors in this palette, I don't think I will end up using the glittery shades too often.  Still, if you're a die hard fan of Urban Decay Naked palettes or if you want to invest in a good palette, Urban Decay Naked 3 is a good option for you.  I'm still debating between Naked 2 and Naked 3 actually. My Naked palette needs to meet one of its siblings so badly :D

The next palette is NARS One Night Stand Cheek Palette. NARS made a collaboration with  Guy Bourdin for its holiday limited edition and let me tell you, the collection is very tempting! I personally rarely wear blush on a daily basis, but NARS has its own way to keep attracting me with its blushes collection.  Dhany also brought up this palette to me yesterday and we both took a moment to appreciate this awesome palette together :D

This cheek palette comes with 6 shades: a highlighter (Devotee), a bronzer (Laguna), and 4 blushes (Mistinguette, Goulue, Orgasm, Deep Throat).  I really love the color selection in this palette.  Everything we need to add some color on face is in this palette. The oh-so-famous Laguna, check. Orgasm and Deep Throat (two of the leading shades in NARS' blushes collection), check. Three new shades to make this limited edition palette feel more special, check.

NARS One Night Stand Cheek Palette retails for US $65 at Sephora, and each shade contains 0.14 oz of product.  It's quite a steal considering a single NARS blush retails for US $29 (0.16 oz), whereas Laguna retails for US $36 (0.28 oz).  And to be honest, I think we need a very long time anyway to use 0.14 oz of product.  And since this is a limited edition, if you are also interested in this palette, better hurry up and pick it up while it is still in stock.

As much as I like to collect blushers, I am very picky in nature. I don't just go out there and buy blindly. I, as usual, make picks carefully and when I found something that I love, I will collect them. That being said, I'm not exactly adventurous when it comes to the shades either.

So this time, I want to try a red blush, or two. Red color, isn't exactly the easiest to work with. For example, applying a red lipstick requires practice. You have to understand the shape of your lips, alter it if you have to, then making sure you don't go overboard. Applying a red nail polish could be a nightmare too; imagine blotched red fingers everywhere *sigh*

However, my curiosity got the best of me. After all, I have a thing for blushers. I've compiled a few items on today's wishlist, with different textures and variations.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Natural Beauty | NARS Blush Exhibit A

Tarte Natural Beauty is described as "red" in Tarte's website. Sephora described it as a muted strawberry red. Judging on the photos on the blogospheres, I want this. Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush has a really nice texture and pretty selection of colors. I own two currently and looking forward to expand my collection.

NARS Blush Exhibit A needs no introduction. It's extremely popular among makeup enthusiasts. It's a matte red blush that got people squirm at the sight of it. I think if I can handle this, I definitely can handle others.

Dolce & Gabbana The Blush in Sole | Josie Maran Cheek Gelée in Getaway Red

Dolce & Gabbana Sole blush has been in my wishlist for quite some time. The warm coral red color would be perfect for that pinched-cheek effect. And that gold packaging looks perfect to be gifted for this holiday season, don't you think? *dropping hints here*

Josie Maran Cheek Gelée Getaway Red looks like something that I'd devour to quench my thirst. I mean, look at the name and the color! The gel consistency offers sheerer, watery-color pigmentation that's just great for on-the-go.

Giorgio Armani Blushing Fabric 02 Sicilian Orange | BECCA Beach Tint in Papaya

Giorgio Armani Blushing Fabric in Sicilian Orange doesn't look orange as one might think. It's actually a cooler toned reddish pink. I swatched this a long time ago at the counter and still remember the dreamy velvety smooth-soft finish it leaves after it's blended in on the skin. It's simply beautiful and unique.

BECCA Beach Tint Papaya is described as a hot red shade. The cream stain could be used on the lips and cheeks. I always like the idea of cheek tints because I could layer powder blusher over it and get a different effect. Psst, supposedly, it's also scented accordingly to the names.

Now, considering red is a pure pigment, it might not be as versatile as say, pink or peach blushers. But that's exactly the challenge. For starters, I'm going to wear them and match the undertones with my red lipsticks. Paired with simple lined eyes and mascara, it's going to look clean, crisp and modern.

And of course, there's always that one final option if I'm not ready to commit into purchasing these products; using my red lipsticks as a blusher too. It's an easy, doable and it's a good basic ground for practice.

Untuk pecinta eye makeup, pasti  kalau melihat eyeshadow palette langsung deg-degan kan? Kayanya semuanya 'must have'.  Walaupun pada akhirnya setiap beli, warna yang sering dipakai hanya tiga sampai lima saja. Tapi yaa namanya suka jadi kalau ada eyeshadow palette yang penuh dengan warna menarik dan kemasannya cantik melihatnya selalu menyenangkan.

NARS did it again!  Palette ini adalah palette yang lengkap menurut saya, range warnanya sudah mencakup warm dan cool shades dari matte, shimmer, dan glittery eyeshadow.   It feels like every color that I love is in this palette.  Nggak ada warna yang terlalu aneh untuk dipakai di kelopak mata, dan semuanya bisa dipakai untuk berbagai macam kepentingan, entah untuk sehari-hari ke kantor, sampai smokey eyes for a fun party with loved ones.

CLINIQUE All About Shadow 8-Pan Palette - Limited Edition Nudes (US $36)

"A deluxe-sized mirrored compact filled with eight beautifully neutral shades. Mix, match, and layer to create a wardrobe of looks, from subtle and understated to dramatically contoured. Rasanya semakin banyak eyeshadow palette yang mulai mengusung tema "nude" semenjak Urban Decay sukses dengan Naked series-nya.  Memang warna-warna seperti ini yang paling versatile karena bisa dipakai kapan saja dan mudah dipadu padankan dengan pakaian apa pun yang kita pakai, tanpa perlu repot memikirkan cocok atau tidaknya warna baju dengan warna riasan mata. Dan Clinique juga tidak ketinggalan dengan merilis All About Shadow 8-Pan Palette Desember lalu yang dikemas dengan signature packaging Clinique.  From light to dark, I think these nudes will be a nice addition for eyeshadow palette lover.

Kalau minggu lalu saya udah menanyakan foundation favorit beberapa penghuni Female Daily Head Quarter, kali ini giliran lipstik! Di Female Daily, saya bisa menyimpulkan kalau kami suka dan berani mencoba berbagai warna lipstik, mulai dari pink, nude, bright fuschia, purple, sampai dark vampy red. Di post kali ini, yuk, cari tahu lipstik apa, sih, yang sedang disukai beberapa perempuan di Female Daily.  Wishlist akan bertambah, nih :D

Griss - Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Catfight

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick ini salah satu lini lipstik yang paling saya suka sekarang.  Kalau bulan November lalu saya sudah menulis tentang salah satu Revolution Lipstick Fiend, kali ini, Catfight menjadi favorit saya.  Warnanya fuschia dengan red undertone, jadi nggak terlihat terlalu ungu atau terlalu pink.  I love this shade so very much!  Kalau malas pakai makeup komplit, tinggal pakai maskara dan lipstik ini, selesai, deh.  Muka akan langsung terkesan lebih cerah tanpa perlu terlalu banyak effort.  Pigmentasi warnanya sendiri sangat bagus.  Satu layer sudah cukup, namun tentunya kalau mau awet, saya akan blot dulu dan tambahkan layer lagi.

Affi -  Kiko Optical Lipstick in 01 Pastel Pink

Akhir-akhir ini saya selalu mencari the perfect nude lipstick, hingga akhirnya sempat mencoba (dan jatuh cinta!) pada Tom Ford Indian Orchid lipstik. Tapi hati (dan dompet ) saya masih belum rela mengeluarkan uang segitu untuk sebuah lipstick. Karena itulah, saya seneng banget ketika Nopai memberikan 1 lipstik yang warnanya miriiiip banget, yaitu Kiko Optical Lipstick in 01 Pastel Pink. It's a very close dupe! Very pretty, mauve-y pink that has a sophisticated charm. Formulanya juga sangat moisturizing dan nyaman di bibir, walau nggak tahan lama, sih. Harganya cuma 10% dari harga lipstick Tom Ford tapi sekarang saya pusing kalau abis gimana belinya :D

Nopai - Tom Ford Rouge A Levres in Pink Dust 07

Bibir saya termasuk sensitif, jadi kalau pakai lipstik yang formulanya nggak cocok, bisa mengelupas.  Jadi saya seringkali harus mengurungkan niat mencoba lipstik yang matte. Tapi lipstik Tom Ford ini salah satu lipstik yang tidak menyebabkan bibir saya kering sama sekali. Hasil akhirnya semi matte, teksturnya mudah sekali diaplikasikan dan pigmented, dan staying power-nya bagus sekali. Makan sekali, masih meninggalkan warna di bibir. Meskipun akhir-akhir ini saya suka memakai lipstik dengan warna terang (merah), tapi warna nude harus selalu ada di makeup pouch saya. Dan saat ini favorit saya adalah Tom Ford Rouge A Levres Pink Dust, karena cocok dengan skin tone saya dan warna pink-nya tetap terlihat walau tergolong nude. Harganya memang cukup mahal untuk ukuran lipstik, tapi sepadan dengan hasilnya.

Hanzky - MAC Rebel

Beli ini waktu the new femaledaily launched to mark a new era :D. Tadinya mau beli Flat Out Fabulous tapi memang shade itu sold out terus. Ternyata saya lebih suka Rebel ini karena warnanya lebih beda, lebih bold. Kalau warna lipstiknya, sih, memang ungu gelap sekali ya - agak sedikit vampy, tapi ketika diaplikasikan di bibir, menjadi lebih light sedikit namun tetap ungu plum. Hal lain yang saya suka selain warnanya, lipstik ini juga lumayan tahan lama. Seperti lipstik dengan warna bold lainnya, hanya dengan makeup minimalis, muka sudah terlihat dandan.

Manda - NYX Extra Creamy Round Lipstick in Thalia

Lipstik ini harganya murah meriah dan mudah didapat karena counter NYX bisa dibilang ada di semua departement store di Jakarta.  Teksturnya super creamy, cocok buat kulit bibir kering saya. Warnanya juga pas banget, masuk ke kategori my lips but better. Terlihat pakai lipstik tapi nggak terlalu mencolok.  Lumayan awet juga, tinggal re-apply sehabis makan aja.

Shella -  MAC Retro Matte Flat Out Fabulous  

Belakangan ini saya lagi suka banget sama lipstik yang warnanya terang dan teksturnya matte. Memang lagi cari lipstik yang berwarna plum dan pas liat iklan MAC Retro Matte ini, saya langsung jatuh cinta dan beli. Pas dipakai, warnanya cocok dan sesuai dengan ekpektasi! Warnanya lebih cenderung pink-plum, dan walaupun matte tapi nggak bikin bibir saya kering.

Sarah - NARS Funny Face

I love colors, makanya di antara segala macam produk makeup dan skincare, say paling tidak tahan dengan godaan yang namanya lipstik. Saat ini lagi suka dengan lipstik Nars, semi-matte, nama shade-nya Funny Face. Kalau dari deskripsi di situsnya, warnanya disebut 'fun fuschia.' Intinya sih, ya, fuschia :D Hasilnya matte tapi tidak terlalu kering dan yang paling penting, nggak membuat bibir kering. Staying power cukup lama. Seharian di kantor hanya re-apply 1 kali.

Bagi saya, bedak adalah penyelamat di saat sedang malas memakai liquid foundation, BB Cream, atau face base apapun yang ada di koleksi makeup.  Apalagi kalau memang sedang tidak ada acara yang harus dihadiri, saya maunya pergi ke kantor dengan makeup yang simpel.  Simpel dalam arti, cukup well-polished, nggak terlihat kusam atau seperti bangun tidur, dan merah-merah di muka agak tertutup.  Apalagi bagi yang punya kulit normal atau kombinasi yang cenderung berminyak, bedak jadi barang wajib yang harus dibawa ke manapun kita pergi, bukan?

Griss  - Make Up For Ever Pro Finish (#118)

Saya mencari bedak yang bisa memberi ekstra coverage untuk menutupi jerawat dan kemerahan di wajah, dan MUFE Pro Finish pilihan saya sampai saat ini. Powder foundation ini bisa dipakai dengan sponge kering atau pun basah, tergantung coverage yang diinginkan.  Saya, sih, lebih suka memakainya dengan sponge kering, dan itu sudah cukup sekali untuk memberikan medium sampai full coverage yang saya butuhkan tanpa terlihat cakey.  Hanya saja, untuk memilih shade yang tepat memang agak tricky.  Saya sarankan jika ingin membeli produk ini, hapus semua makeup dan pakai di seluruh muka supaya tahu bagaimana hasil akhirnya secara pasti.  Shade #118 ini lebih gelap dari warna kulit saya, tapi bisa diakali karena saya punya liquid foundation yang shade-nya lebih light.  Jadi kalau keduanya digabungkan, saya mendapatkan shade yang tepat. Tapi untuk kualitas produknya sendiri, I love it to bits!

Jika minggu lalu SalvatoreG membahas mengenai koleksi makeup Spring 2014 yang paling most-wanted, saya lebih ingin menekankan pada unsur visual dari kampanye-kampanye yang dikeluarkan para beauty brands dalam menyambut musim Spring/Summer yang didominasi nuansa pastel ini. Memang sih, tidak semenggugah ketika melihat barangnya, tetapi kalau buat saya, Spring 2014 beauty ads yang glamor (meskipun penuh unsur retouching sana-sini) tetap saja memikat mata, dan 'meracuni' pikiran saya. Melihat terangnya warna bibir dan pipi merona Cara Delevigne dan Ondria Hardin pada kampanye YSL Kiss & Blush, membuat saya mengkhayalkannya (the product, of course) siang dan malam. Daria Strokous pada iklan Dior yang bergelimang pastel dan bunga pun mengundang saya untuk berkesperimen dengan eyeshadow ungu muda. Tidak harus selalu merasa 'termakan' oleh bujukan iklan, tetapi menjadikan gambar-gambar cantik ini sebagai inspirasi saja nggak dosa, kan?  Daripada penasaran, yuk beranjak ke halaman selanjutnya.

Saya nggak akan membenci internet karena menebarkan berbagai macam "racun" setiap hari. Nggak. Walaupun banyak godaan, tapi saya senang melihat banyak informasi produk makeup terbaru yang bisa dengan mudah diketahui dengan beberapa klik saja.  Apalagi bagi kita yang tinggal di Indonesia, akses untuk membeli beberapa beauty brand terbatas, dan kalaupun brand-nya ada, koleksi yang sudah muncul di negara lain bisa baru sampai di sini 6 bulan berikutnya.  Itu pun kalau proses registrasi barangnya lancar.  Sudah biasa, 'kan? That's why I love internet!  Bisa mendapat informasi produk terbaru dengan mudah dan tanpa batas.

Ada 5 produk makeup yang sampai saat ini jadi incaran utama *you gotta make priorities, girl* dan semuanya disebabkan karena membaca review dan menonton beauty video di YouTube terlalu lama :D

Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk UV Foundation SPF 20

Giorgio Armani memiliki beberapa lini foundation, namun dari hasil research kecil-kecilan, Giorgio Armani (GA) Maestro Foundation cocok untuk kulit yang berminyak dan kombinasi cenderung berminyak. Jadi, bagi saya yang juga sedang dalam tahap mengeringkan jerawat dengan berbagai macam skincare sepertinya tidak cocok.  Sedangkan GA Luminous Silk lebih cocok untuk kulit normal dan kering karena bisa membantu melembabkan.  So I guess, the best option for me is GA Lasting Silk UV Foundation SPF 20.  Lebih matte dari Luminous Silk Foundation namun hasil akhirnya nggak terlalu kering seperti Maestro.

Sejak sebulan lalu, kalau saya main di Market Plaza banyak yang membuka PO untuk Pixi Glow Tonic ini. Kalau meilihat akun instagram Amal dan Puche mereka juga sering sekali memposting toner ini. Katanya, toner ini sangat efektif untuk membuat wajah terlihat lebih cerah dan segar. Di Beauty Review sendiri, banyak yang mengatakan kalau Pixi Glow Tonic ini cukup efektif untuk mengempiskan dan memudarkan bekas jerawat. Untuk saya yang memang dalam masa penyembuhan bekas jerawat, jadi sangat tertarik sekali dengan produk ini. Sayang harga 1 botol Pixi Glow ini cukup menguras kantong.
